HS Lent Faith Group

HS Lent Faith Group

High school students are invited to an inspiring faith-sharing group this Lent centered around "Blessed are the Bored in Spirit" by Mark Hart. Do you struggle to pray or to come to Mass? If you do attend, is it hard to notice the impact it has on your life? Do you consider faith mainly a list of “Thou Shall Nots”? Do you ever wonder if religion can be more than just following rules you don’t fully understand or appreciate? Or do you believe in Jesus, but simply want to more fully embrace all of what a relationship with Him has to offer? If so, join us on a journey to discover (or rediscover) the transforming light and love of God and what it means to truly be fulfilled as a new person in Jesus Christ.

Meetings will be co-ed (though we may split on some topics) and will be held in McEleney Hall on Mondays from 7:30-8:30pm during Lent (2/19, 2/26, 3/4, 3/18, & 3/25).

Not a big reader or worried about committing to a big book? Each week involves reading only about 3 short pages per day and you’re still more than welcome to participate if you don’t finish the readings. Busy schedule or conflicts with meeting times? We can help you start a group that works in your schedule or you can also join a community chat group to receive inspiration, follow along, and chime in whenever your schedule allows.

Make this a Lent to remember by stepping out of your comfort zone and trying something new!  It’s totally free to participate. We’ll have hard copies of the books to pick up by Ash Wednesday. In addition, there are audiobook or e-reader versions available on Amazon or Audible if you prefer to purchase or download one of those. See our website or contact Brett Adams with questions or for more information.
